How long is a Tarot Reading Valid?

You have had your cards read, and things don’t seem to be changing. Will the wisdom of the cards still take effect at some point in time? Well, that depends on the effort that you put into making your reality.

The tarot deck provides guidance for you, but they have no effect if you do not listen. A tarot reading will remain valid as long as you hold the information in your heart and work toward the desired outcome. If you forget about it and do nothing, then nothing will happen.

Do you believe in free will or a predetermined fate?

If you believe in free will, your reading will be more accurate. It means that you can achieve your destiny by making the appropriate changes in your life. The amount of time these changes take will depend on what you need to do and how committed you are.

Some changes will require little effort, and some changes may require more. The time frame will depend on how much time you have and how much time you are willing to commit to making necessary changes.

Some people will say that tarot reading has a set time frame. If you believe in a predetermined fate, then that may hold. But if you believe in a predetermined future, why get your cards read? Predetermined fate means that what will happen will happen anyway, regardless of your efforts to control the outcome of a situation.

Free will is yours. That is why the time frame will depend on you and your actions. One of history’s most debated topics in religion and philosophy is the existence of free will.

Taking Control of your Reading

If you have a set date you would like something to happen by, you must take control and do what needs doing. Perhaps you are told you will be married in a year, but you don’t even currently have a boyfriend. If that is the case, you will need to put yourself out there and work on meeting new people to develop a relationship worthy of marriage. If you sit at home on your couch, eating popcorn and watching chick flicks, you are not likely to find a suitable mate.

If the cards say that your career will take off and you will become the CEO of your company in a given time frame, but you keep doing what you are doing day in and day out, it will likely not happen. If you have a timeframe in which you want things to happen, you will need to put in the effort.

But as Sir J. Lubbock says, “[R]est is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”

It is essential to reflect on what has been revealed and take time to consider the implications. Only when you have had a chance to ponder will you have the desire to act.

Will the Reading Expire?

The cards do not lie, and what they hold to be true will always be. The truth only expires if you do not wish to make it a reality with your own free will.

The expiration date is what you make it.

If the date arrives and you have not achieved the reading outcome, you can always get another reading to see what new truth may be.

Sometimes a particular reading will not hold due to circumstances beyond your control. It may hedge on the actions of others who may not have done their part.

There are also life events that may change the course of action. Perhaps you were to meet the love of your life in a specific time frame, but then you became ill and could not leave the house. It is not likely that you would then meet the love of your life.

That does not mean that the reading has expired, but it may not happen within the predicted time frame.

Some things are in our control, and other events are driven by various outside forces over which we have no control. But just because the card reading did not yet come true does not mean it has expired. It only has a new time frame.

If I don’t want it to come true, will it?

Sometimes the cards will not tell you what you want to hear. Just as you need to work for positive outcomes, you also need to work to prevent the negative. Your actions are the predictor of your final fate.

In Essence…

If something you were working toward did not happen, it does not mean that it won’t. After a reading, it is your job to give in to introspection and determine what you want the outcome to be. Work toward that outcome and have patience. Rome was not built in a day.

A tarot reading is good for as long as you want it to be. If you are working toward a goal, keep working until it happens. You have the wisdom and intuition to know what is and what should be in your own life. Trust yourself. Trust your instincts. Trust your deepest desires.

If you are getting a reading it is because you want guidance. The guidance does not mean the work will be done for you. It tells you what could be if it is what you desire. The rest of the outcome is on you!

Take into consideration the reading and what it tells you, and then live your life to realize your desires. The validity of a reading and an expiry is dependent on you, not on the cards.
