In every profession, there is an elite level for those that produce work far superior to that of the competition. The visual arts have seen the rise of Leonardo da Vinci, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Vincent Van Gogh. Literature has been graced by the talents of William Shakespeare, Mary Shelley, and Leslie Feinberg. Even in fields that are considered to be less creatively driven, there are figures that easily stick out as the leaders within their respective industry. 

These figures were able to rise to the top of the food chain through a combination of hard work, dedication, education, training, and natural talent. Many times, the work that they are known for is crafted from a mixture of learned techniques and inherent talent. While the issue of which of these aspects is more important is a hot topic of debate, the importance of having a natural tendency to gravitate towards such work cannot be denied.

Unfortunately, not everyone is able to find that one special thing that they are an expert in; or they may find it for a short period of time, but are then forced to shift their attention elsewhere. You, much like many other people, have a very particular gift that sets you aside from the rest. You may already know what this gift is; perhaps you’ve been playing the violin since you were very little and now play professionally, or have a knack for picking up new languages. On the other hand, you may have no idea what your skills are. Now is the time for you to look deep within yourself in order to find that special strength. 

What do you enjoy doing so much that you often lose track of time altogether? Are you gifted at this activity, more so than the average person? You don’t need to be the top competitor in your field right now; what is most important is your ability to continue to develop this skill.

Once you have identified your unique gift, it is time to let it take center stage. Show others what you are capable of doing, and don’t be afraid to receive large amounts of praise for your skill. However, remember to accept all compliments tactfully, and don’t let the attention inflate your ego. Not only will this boost your self-confidence, but it will also give you the motivation needed in order to continue developing this skill. The better you become at your unique craft, the better of a chance that you’ll have to turn your work into physical gain. This may come as monetary profit, awards, invitations to certain events, new networking connections with elite performers, and a slew of other opportunities to enrich your life in the material plane.

While it can be easy to focus on the mistakes that you may make in a relationship, it is infinitely more important to recognize your strengths. Maintaining a harmonious relationship between two people over a long period of time is much harder to maintain than it seems. In order to preserve peace, support your partner, and move forward in life as a team, it is imperative that you are able to recognize the strengths that you bring to the table. Are you a very good listener that doesn’t talk over your partner, and does everything in your power to listen in order to understand instead of listening to respond? Or perhaps you are an incredibly passionate and understanding individual, with a natural talent of turning even the nastiest of disagreements into a learning lesson for the both of you.

You may have recently fallen into a rut where it is hard to see the positive characteristics that make you a unique lover. This may be due to a variety of different causes: it may feel as though you have done nothing but make mistakes recently, or a lack of validation from your partner may have left you wondering if there is anything about you worth loving. However, this negative cycle of thinking has blinded you. In your pessimism, you have lost sight of what makes you unique and attractive. 

Now is the time to break away from these thoughts and remember what it is that attracts others to you. If you pour great amounts of love and attention into a physical appearance that turns heads everywhere you go, then this is a source of great pride! On the other hand, an easy-going personality that easily attracts the interests and affections of others is an invaluable asset in a partner. Remember: no matter what, you are always worthy of love. You may just need some time to remind yourself of what makes you more than worthy.

One of the most crucial aspects of working as a team is to understand the unique abilities of each individual so as to best utilize everyone’s strengths in an efficient manner. By assigning specific roles to each team member, not only will it be easier to divvy up duties evenly, but it will also ensure that only the best qualified individuals are assigned to each task. Even if you are not the one in charge of deciding who does what, being sure that your talents are being properly utilized is a responsibility of every team member.

At your current place of work, you may have noticed that your skills have continually overlooked, or have otherwise not been given a chance to come out and shine. Perhaps someone else was chosen to take on a position of leadership instead of you, despite the fact that you were obviously the more qualified candidate. On the other hand, you may have fallen into a cycle of performing menial task that require no particularly finesse, giving you very few opportunities to showcase your abilities.

Now is the time to find a new way to let your unique talents come forth in your work. This may mean taking on additional responsibilities that showcase your capability to perform difficult tasks with minimal errors. If you have the authority to do so, you may also want to consider slightly altering the parameters of your current duties so as to show supervisors that you can far exceed their expectations. When others are able to easily see your strengths, they will be far more likely to continue to push work that suits these strengths your way. 

Not only will this set you up for praise and recognition, it will also change your workload to something that you will most likely enjoy doing far more than the menial tasks that you are burdened with now.

While humility is an admirable trait, this does not mean that you should hesitate to let your unique gifts shine. When The 3 of Pentacles appears in the reversed position, it may be a sign that you have failed to utilize your skills properly. Perhaps you don’t think it’s appropriate to put forth your best effort due to the fear that you may outshine others. On the other hand, you may feel as though those who would receive the benefits would be undeserving of your work. However, you would not have been given your gift if it wasn’t meant to be used. 

Don’t let a fear of recognition or spite keep you from doing your best work. If your hesitation to perform stems from an anxiety over perfection, it is important to remember that being talented does not go hand in hand with perfection. Even the best of the best are not free of error, and in many fields, there is no such thing as perfection to begin with. There is no perfect song to be song, or perfect tale to be told. So long as you enjoy what you create, that is all that matters.
