The Hermit and Eight Of Swords – what does it mean?
The Hermit and the Eight Of Swords can make you feel as if your alone time is because you have been mistreated.
Life: Loss and contemplation, reflection, re evaluating, preparation
Love: Feeling isolated, wanting to be alone, grief, betrayal, only trusting yourself, searching for your new path
Career: Difficult choices, loss of job, lone working creating a feeling of depression
Health: Tired and wanting to recharge alone, sudden need to regain health, slow journey back to health
It is possible sometimes that we create excuses for being alone. You are bound only by your own beliefs, so focus on the good.
The Hermit interpretation
The Hermit pauses when it is necessary.
You have survived a whirlwind and are eager to begin a new era but first, introspection awaits. During a previous time, you acquired spiritual skills previously unknown to you. Now you hold the cards, you must await in solitude for your next move. You do not stand in darkness, using your light as your beacon of hope, radiating in the distorted sky.
Never be fooled that standing still means lack of progression or the inability to push yourself. You are aware that a pause like this creates the energy and contemplation needed to commit yourself to future endeavours that will no doubt see you channelling your focus.
In love, life and career, you consider your next steps. Everything you need is inside you, and when in a reflective state, you can search away from the hustle and bustle of distraction. In your disconnect is where you find and overcome any negative force that battles your current state.
‘I stand alone but I stand tall in the search for myself’ – The Hermit
Eight Of Swords interpretation
The Eight Of Swords intentionally stagnates in powerlessness.
Everybody else is to blame, aren’t they? How dare they leave you tied up and blindfolded whilst they happily live their joyous lives? Of course what they have actually done, is build some sort of make shift, flimsy trap with a huge exit and tied you rather loosely. When did they do this?I’ve a sense that it wasn’t yesterday. You look as if you have been there for some time.
When others wrong us, we can do one of two things. We can break free and live the life we want without the reckless limitations of others. Or (and the option seemingly harder yet far better) is to wriggle free and walk out of the corner the placed you in as if you don’t matter. Sometimes, imprisonment is conceived by our own limited beliefs.
If you feel trapped in love, why aren’t you talking or taking action? To remain feeling so, is to set yourself low standards. If you fear changing jobs due to the ‘what ifs’ circling your mind, try changing, ‘what if if all goes wrong,’ to, ‘what if it all goes right.’ You never know. Things may slowly start turning your way.
